Why Choose a Ragdoll?
A Perfect Fit for Any Lifestyle
Ragdolls are not only known for their affectionate nature but also for their adaptability. They thrive in various living situations, whether you have a bustling family, are a busy professional, or live in a quieter space. Their moderate energy level means they enjoy playful moments but also appreciate lounging by your side. Ragdolls are typically less vocal than other breeds, making them a peaceful addition to your home. Additionally, their luxurious fur requires minimal grooming, making them easier to care for. With their enchanting personalities and low-maintenance needs, Ragdolls make an excellent choice for anyone seeking a loving feline companion that fits seamlessly into their lifestyle.
A Colorful Palette of Ragdolls
Ragdolls come in an array of stunning colors and patterns, making each kitten a unique work of art. From classic colorpoints and bicolors to the more rare and enchanting shades of lilac and cream, there’s a Ragdoll to suit every taste. At Equinox Cats, we take pride in specializing in beautiful chocolate and cinnamon Ragdolls, known for their rich, warm hues and striking appearances. Hello! I’m Amanda, the proud owner of Equinox Cats. As a mother and a technology professional, my passion for cats has led me to create this small family cattery in Arizona. My journey began with Maine Coons, thanks to a wonderful friendship with a breeder at Solstice Cats. I decided to start my own cattery to focus on breeding beautiful, loving Ragdolls that complement their amazing program. Here at Equinox Cats, my goal is to raise happy, healthy kittens in a nurturing environment. I can’t wait to share the joy of these incredible cats with you!

We anticipate our first Ragdoll kittens when both sire and dam are at their optimal breeding age. Typically, Ragdolls reach full maturity around 12-18 months. We expect to be ready for breeding by late 2025 to early 2026. We’ll keep our community updated on any upcoming litters as they approach!

HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) is a common heart condition in cats that causes the walls of the heart to thicken, making it harder for the heart to function properly. It’s important to test for HCM because it can be inherited. At Equinox Cats, we ensure all our breeding cats are tested for HCM to reduce the risk of passing this condition on to future generations, prioritizing the long-term health of our kittens.
-
Yes! All of our Ragdolls come from champion bloodlines and are bred with a focus on preserving the breed's standards. We take pride in providing pedigreed kittens with a documented lineage that emphasizes health and breed quality.
-
Ragdolls are known for their friendly, affectionate, and calm demeanor, and our kittens are no exception! Raised in a loving home, they are well-socialized and make perfect family pets. They are known for being gentle and often described as "puppy-like" due to their tendency to follow their owners around and enjoy being held.
-
In addition to HCM testing, we regularly screen for other common health conditions and work closely with veterinarians to maintain high health standards. We provide vaccinations, deworming, and thorough health checks for all our kittens before they go to their forever homes.
